Class 4 MOT

Class 4 vehicles are the most common type of vehicle on UK roads and include cars that carry up to eight passengers, dual-purpose vehicles, taxis, private hire vehicles with up to eight seats and light goods vehicles.

We can carry out tests at our Salisbury commercial MOT centre on the following class 4 vehicles (up to 2,999kg):

• Cars with up to eight seats
• Motor caravans
• Light goods vehicles
• Dual-purpose vehicles

We do not MOT three-wheeled vehicles.

Class 7 MOT

Class 7 covers commercial vehicles that weigh between 3,000kg and 3,500kg.

This typically includes the likes of Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter and Renault Traffic vans. If you’re unsure if your vehicle falls between this weight you can usually find out by digging out the vehicle handbook or contacting customer services for the manufacture and giving them the vehicle's details.
