Hybrid vehicles utilise the power of the traditional internal combustion engine and an electric motor, powered by a battery. Unlike pure electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles, the standard hybrid doesn’t plug into the mains for battery re-charge. The battery is instead charged by the power generated by the combustion engine.

The car or van smartly switches between using the combustion or electric motor depending on a number of factors including the charge of the battery and current speed. Hybrid vehicles provide an eco-friendly and efficient vehicle without the current restrictions found with re-charging pure electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles.
